What happens when I reach 100 references in the trial?⌄
Equinoia keeps working: you can still open, tag, search and browse everything you saved. You just can't add new references until you enter a license key (or delete a few). Your files stay exactly where they are on your disk and are never deleted, and a key unlocks everything instantly, with nothing to reinstall.
Is Equinoia available for Mac or Linux?⌄
Not yet. Equinoia is Windows-only for now (10 and 11, 64-bit). A Mac version is on the roadmap, but there's no date to promise. We'd rather ship it right than ship it early.
Can I use one license on my desktop and my laptop?⌄
Yes. A personal license covers the computers you own or use yourself. The key is checked offline, so there's nothing to activate or deactivate when you replace a machine. Please don't share it with other people.
Which file types does it support?⌄
Images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and video (MP4, WebM). Videos play inside the app, and you can trim them, grab frames, and build action strips. You can also save links to web pages as bookmarks.
Do I need an internet connection to use it?⌄
No. Equinoia runs entirely offline once installed, including license activation. The internet is only used to check for updates (you can turn that off) and to download things you save from the web.
How is this different from Eagle or a folder of files?⌄
Equinoia is built on the same idea: a fast local library instead of the cloud. On top of that it adds what artists working next to their tools need: an infinite canvas for moodboards, Ghost Mode to float references over Photoshop or Blender, screen and video capture, smart collections, and palette search.
